By the Beach Golf Cart Rentals · Rental Agreement
- Only drivers with a valid driver's license may operate the cart.
- Follow all Town of Oak Island golf cart rules and traffic laws. Carts are not to be driven on the beach strand.
- Charge the cart nightly and keep the battery above 30% while driving.
- No more passengers than seats. Children must be seated at all times.
- Renter is responsible for damage beyond normal wear during the rental period.
- Report any issue right away by calling (704) 779-0263.
- Return the cart on the agreed date and time. Late returns may be charged.
- The deposit holds your reservation; the remaining balance is due at pickup.

How do summer rentals work?
During June, July and August we rent by the week, Saturday to Saturday. You can book one week or several back to back.
Can I rent for just a few days?
Yes, outside of summer. In spring and fall you can pick any start and end dates when you book online.
How much is due when I book?
A $150 deposit holds your cart, and the rest is due at pickup. If your rental totals less than $150, you simply pay it in full when you book.

Of course. Call (704) 779-0263 and you'll talk directly to the owner.

How far can I go on a charge?
About 40 miles on one charge with our upgraded lithium batteries, versus roughly 20 for a standard cart. Plug it in each night and you're set for the next day. Please keep the battery above 30% while driving.
How many people fit?
Choose a 4-seater or a 6-seater. Our 6-seaters have plenty of room for the family plus chairs, a cooler, and even the dogs.
Do I have to pay for parking?
No. Our carts are registered with the Town of Oak Island, which means free parking for you.

Who can drive?
Only drivers with a valid driver's license may operate the cart, and all Town of Oak Island golf cart rules apply.
